Your meeting library stays on your computer.

Meeting data

unottr stores recordings, transcripts, speaker identities, search data, saved threads, and exports on your computer. unottr does not operate a cloud account or automatically upload your meeting library.

Optional AI connections

AI requires a configured connection and your consent. Ask sends your question, selected transcript excerpts, and nearby context to that connection. Manual overviews send the entire transcript. If you enable automatic overviews, unottr sends the entire transcript to the configured AI connection after transcription, without a separate request for each recording. A localhost model server can keep inference on your computer. Installed agents and hosted APIs may send the submitted text to their providers.

The speaker-names setting applies to overviews only. Turning names off substitutes speaker labels in overview prompts; it does not remove names spoken in the transcript. Ask may include speaker names even when that setting is off.

unottr does not send audio, video, frames, or unrelated files to an AI provider. The provider you choose handles submitted text under its own privacy policy.

Website data

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand which pages people visit and how the site is used. Umami does not use cookies. It receives basic visit information such as the page viewed, referrer, browser, device, and approximate region. The hosting provider may also process request information such as IP address, browser details, and request time to deliver and secure the site.

Beta signup

If you join the beta, we store your email address, the signup time, the page you signed up from and a one-way hash of your IP address for rate limiting. To delete it, see data deletion.

Purchases

A payment provider processes checkout and payment details. unottr does not receive or store full card numbers. The provider may share purchase details needed to deliver packaged downloads, prevent fraud, and handle support.

Your choices

You control the files stored by the desktop app and can remove them through the app or your operating system. You can disconnect an AI provider and turn off automatic overviews at any time. Purchase records may be retained when tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention rules require it.

This page will be updated when the product starts collecting information in a new way. The effective date above shows the latest revision.
